According to the rumors, the Nexus 5 should have release on October 15 but it did not happen. We had reported that Google usually prefers to send invitations before launching their products. Since the invitations have not arrived yet, all the expected Android 4.4 release dates are just rumors.
The Android 4.4 KitKat was first announced in the month of September and since then various leaks have come out related to the latest Android software. Rumors about the Android 4.4 KitKat reveal that the operating system will bring plenty of features like icon changes, printing through Cloud storage, payment through NFC and many more. The update seems to be major upgrade from Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Well, Google has remained quite on the Android 4.4 KitKat features. Also, users who are eagerly waiting for the upgrade have no clue as to when the update will be made available. Google can simply rush out a press release for Android 4.4 KitKat without arranging any launch event like it did in the previous year or the search giant may even send out invitations for the launch event that will take place in the coming weeks.
Some other rumors indicate that the Nexus 5 will come out in the market in the middle of November. If that will happen, even the Android 4.4 KitKat will be completely revealed to the world on the same day. We will have to wait a little more to hear something from Google on the Android 4.4 KitKat release date.
It is quite evident that the Android 4.4 KitKat will be first made available on selected Nexus devices. The Nexus 5 smartphone is the first one to get it followed by the Asus Nexus 10 tablet. One of the best things about owning a Nexus device is that updates are made available quickly from Google.
So, it is likely that the Google Nexus 7 will also get the update very soon. Even the Nexus 4 will get the upgrade. Rumors have it that Android 4.4 KitKat will be made available for devices that are running on older versions of Android OS.
