Apple will launch iPhone 6, its next flagship phone, soon. According to latest reports, Apple will release two versions of the device: 4.7-inch and 5.7-inch.

Analysts think the 5.7-inch will be the “motherload of all upgrade cycles.” That is Apple will target Android big screen fans and compete better in the smartphone arena.

Analysts believe Apple can boost up production and sales every year if it will start diversifying. According to Brian Marshall, analyst under ISI Group, iPhone users go through “large-screen envy” with other Android devices.

Marshall predicts the existing iPhone series has about 260 million users. This sums up the total of iPhone sales for the past seven quarters. The analyst also predicts that over 50 percent of iPhone sales at the moment will become upgrades. This means Apple can ensure that whoever buys it existing mobile device today will likely upgrade to what they will offer next. It should be good news for the tech giant. The analyst believes Apple can cater better to the smartphone market by releasing two new models. Also, the forecast indicated Apple’s earnings per share will reach up to $3.00. The tech giant has not released any official statements of what people can expect from iPhone 6.

Visions of a larger iPhone are stunning

The rumors that the iPhone 6 is finally growing up have stirred Apple fans with design chops to action.

Italian designer Federico Ciccarese has shown us his visions of a possible future iWatch or an iPhone Air in the past, and this week he got in touch again to share with us how he conceives of a bigger iPhone 6 with both 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screens.

Another designer duo has taken their iPhone 6 dreams a few steps further. Ran Avni of Israel and Enrico Penello of Italy teamed up to create the below video concept showing the larger iPhones. Their concept adds a few more of the rumored features as well, including curved display glass, illuminated volume buttons, and higher display resolutions than those used in Ciccarese’s concept.

In time, technology advanced. Now we have a 64-bit processor in the iPhone 5s. The demands on the iPhone for maps, weather apps, watching videos, shopping, banking, calendaring and even reading books has grown dramatically. The iPhone has gone from being a great phone + music player + internet access device to the Star Trek tricorder of our times.

That technical vision is manifesting itself in concepts that whet our appetite. “Visions of a larger iPhone 6 are stunning.” Plus, I’ve reviewed and handled a Galaxy Note II, and I’m here to tell you, larger smartphone displays are necessary and desirable for the mainstream. How fast Apple gets on board, and whether they’ll offer a spectrum of size choices, we don’t yet know.

Apple iPhone 6 to have Better Camera

Chinese technology website IT168 has reported that Apple will use a 10MP camera in the upcoming iPhone 6, citing industry sources in Taiwan. The company has resorted to 8MP cameras since 2011, including in the latest models – iPhone 5S and 5C.

This camera module is also said to have aperture of f/1.8, better than the f/2.2 of iPhone 5S; Sony Xperia Z1 and HTC One have the lowest aperture size in the market right now. The smaller the aperture, the sharper the image; thus, reducing the sensor size would lead to clearer photos.

The report also says that Apple has improved the lens quality for iPhone 6’s camera and will use filter made of resin. The resin material for filter is being sourced from Japanese manufacturer JSR.

Apple last year used dual-tone, dual-LED flash for the first time in iPhone 5S.

The company continues to use 8MP cameras in a time when rivals like Samsung and LG use 13MP cameras in top smartphones. Nokia and Sony make use of 41MP and 20.7MP cameras in their top cameraphones.

Apple is said to be working on two versions of iPhone 6 – one with 4.7-inch screen and other with 5.7-inch display. It is also rumoured that the next iPhones will feature scratch-proof sapphire display panels and solar charging.
