Sony explains PS4’s price in Brazil: 63% are taxes.

Sony announced this week the prices of their upcoming console, the PlayStation 4. Launching on November 15 in North America, and November 29 in Europe and Australia, the video game features a simpler AMD processor and a higher level of interactivity with other devices. However, what may be a dream for some players may be a nightmare for others. While the console will be available for PlayStation fans for just $400 dollars in US, in Brazil the video game will cost the little amount of $1,800+ dollars (converted from the Brazilian currency, R$ 4,000). What is the most accessible Sony video game in history ever launched in US, is the most expensive in Brazil.
